Changing lives...one cup at a time. Steamers Coffeehouse truly is "A Different Kind of Bean". Steamers opened in March 2007 with a vision that it is possible to run a business which is sustainable, successful and employs people with developmental disabilities, while offering our community a high-quality product.
Steamers began with one developmentally disabled employee and now proudly counts among our employees over 40 individuals with developmental disabilities. By utilizing our employees' abilities, everyone becomes a productive and valuable asset to our business. Steamers Coffeehouse offers a full menu of home-made items in a casual, welcoming atmosphere serving a variety of Coda coffees as well as premium teas from The Republic of Tea. We hand make all our baked goods and provide our community with a complete made to order breakfast menu. We strive in every way to be sustainable using compostable paper goods and giving back to our community as often as possible. Steamers also makes our our own jams and jellies. You can purchase our jellies & jams individually or in gift baskets. You can now order online! Now that's progress directed by pure passion!
In April of 2010, Steamers moved into a new location across the street - but stayed in the great neighborhood of the Village of Five Parks. Joining Steamers in its new location is "Jack's" — a full service restaraunt, featuring breakfast, lunch and dinner. Jack's lunch and dinner menu is highlighted by great appetizers, a variety of slider options, nightly dinner specials and homemade soups & salads.
